Visual Disturbances

The AcrySof^® ReSTOR^® lens features a patented¹ technology called apodization. The process of apodization involves the gradual tapering of concentric step heights from the centre to the periphery of a lens's diffractive region. Apodization creates a smooth transition of light between the distance, intermediate and near focal points, reducing the potential for glare, halos and other visual disturbances.
